SpongeBob Sadness

In the spring, there was an ice cream truck that would drive around campus everyday at 2pm (I know this exact time because it woke me up from my afternoon nap everyday).

Last Monday, I heard the beautiful tune while in class- which just so happened to be the class that I write this blog for. I NEEDED to leave to go catch that ice cream man- so, casually, we interrupted class so I could have something for this weeks post.

Quick shout out to Mary (my professor) – you’re the bomb, this one is for you.

With a truck side of options, it’s one of the hardest decisions to make- yes, I did pick my college, this was harder. In order to make the decision process a little easier, I’ve made a four step process.

  1. Chocolate or fruity?
  2. Cone or stick?
  3. Would this have worked better as a flow chart? Yes.
  4. Choose your character / flavor / I messed this up by not making a flow chart.

Basically, once you distinguish between chocolate or fruity, you’re set. Most of the chocolate options are cones and the majority of the fruity ones have faces, so you just pick your favorite.

It comes to no surprise that my final decision (after much thought) was SpongeBob.

I’m not sure if my taste in ice cream has gotten better or if this SpongeBob treat was as old as me, but I was truly disappointed (and even now more so that I couldn’t taste any cotton candy). The eyeballs were the worst and everything tasted like a straight lime (refreshing, but SAD).

The eyeballs tasted like… what I can only describe as rocks, and the gum wasn’t even enough to chew- although it was enough to choke on.

Let me also point out that Sam (pictured below) got the same thing and his was much prettier than mine. My SpongeBob looked like he needed to brush his teeth.

I also just noticed that on the wrapper, it doesn’t even say ice cream. It says frozen confection. This is literally not even ice cream enough to call it ice cream. I’m too picky to appreciate SpongeBob ~frozen confections~.

This isn’t an ice cream blog, it’s a frozen confection blog. You can’t even scoop this. Here’s the frozen confection, nice ring to it.
